Teen Talks That Matter – Fear
Fear
What is fear? Does fear drag you down? Do you find yourself discouraged? Fear does not come from God. Fear comes from our enemy, Satan. Satan uses fear as one of his greatest weapons to try to defeat and discourage the children of God. He desires for us to focus only on the fears in our lives rather than fully relying and trusting on God and giving over all of our fears to Him. God says do not fear. Through the prophet Isaiah God tells us to, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
There seems to be so much worry and fear in the days we are living in now. The list seems to go on and on. In the Bible God reminds us constantly to “ fear not.” Why don’t we listen? He reminds us over and over to put our trust in Him and Him alone. By trusting Him, He will bring us peace. Pray over everything and worry about nothing. It is in our nature to worry, and when we worry we become overwhelmed causing more anxiety in our lives. Give it over to God. We tend to only give God parts of our lives thinking that we can control the rest. Well let me tell you, we can’t. Without God we are nothing. God gave us everything that we have. If we don’t hand everything right back over to Him, then fear will strike in your life. My goal for you this month is for you to hand EVERYTHING that you are, and have, to God. I can promise you that there will be a dramatic difference in your life.
Until Next Time,
