Things Jesus does not know
Records Jesus cannot show
Places Jesus cannot go.
By Pastor George Mills
I know that many will be saying, “Now Pastor, we know that Jesus is the Divine Son of God, that He is actually God Himself incarnate. He knows all things. I am with you there, but if you will follow me, I believe that I can show you, without robbing the Lord of His attributes, some things that He cannot do
SOME THINGS JESUS DOES NOT KNOW.
FIRST, Let us consider some of His attributes.
He is OMNISCIENT, that is, He knows all things;
“O LORD, Thou hast searched me and known me. Thou knowest my down setting and mine uprising, thou knowest my thoughts afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo. O LORD thou knowest it all together. Thou hast set me behind and before, and laid Thy hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, it is high, I cannot attain unto it. (Psa 139: 1-6) Take a moment and read all of this great Psalm and you will see that our Lord knows everything about me, and about life in general.
He knew the one who would betray Him.
“But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who should betray Him.” (John 6:64) (Jn 13:11) It was no surprise to Him when Judas planted that kiss of betrayal upon His cheek, (Jn 18:1-4).Mk. 14:32-46).
He knows His Church. He walks among His Churches in Rev 2-3 and says to each one, “I know.” (Rev 2:2, 2:9, 2:13, 2:19, 3:1, 3:8, 3:15).
He knows His own sheep. He knows where each one is. He knows all about each one, (Jn 10:14, 10:27) If you belong to Christ, He knows all about you! He is sovereign, but in His sovereignty, He has limited Himself. Let’s see some things that He does not know.
HE DOES NOT KNOW THE HOUR OF HIS RETURN. (Mt. 24:35-44). Let every date setter be silenced. Christ said that He would return, at the right season, in God’s plan. His return is known by God alone.
He does not know how to tell a lie. “That by two immutable things in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us. (Heb 6:18).
He does not know how to violate His Word, (Psa. 138:2, Psa 119:8).
He does not know how to refuse to hear the prayer of faith, (John 14:12-14).
He does not know how to refuse the gift of salvation to anyone who will call upon Him. John 6:37). It matters not what one’s lifestyle may have been like, morally good, or morally bad. He came to seek and to save that which was lost. “Call upon Him while He is near.” So, you see my friend, there are some things that Jesus does not know. I’m so glad of that.
SOME RECORDS JESUS CANNOT SHOW.
Again, let’s consider some of His attributes. According to Mt 28:19-20, ALL POWER in Heaven and in earth is His, He can do all things. One day in the future, God will call His creation before Him and He will show that there is nothing hidden from Him. Accurate records are being kept. Revelation 20:11-15 says that He will open the books in Heaven and show to everyone his/her life from birth to death. Clearly everyone will see every opportunity they had to get right with God. But did you know that when you call upon Him for salvation, He wipes the slate clean. There is no record in Heaven against the Born again child of God.
SOME THINGS GOD CANNOT SHOW.
A. He cannot show your past sins. That’s right! There is no record against the child of God. All of your sins are forever paid for in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross and His resurrection from the dead.. He paid for ALL your sin. You will never face them again. Note the things the Bible says that He does with past sin……
They are blotted out….Isa. 65:22
They are in the depths of the sea…Micah 7:19
They are behind Him, and there is no shadow
of turning with God. Isa 38:17).
They have been cast as far as the east is from
west. (Psa 103:2.
He will remember them no more.(Heb 10:17)
Oh you may remember them, people you
know will remember, and of course Satan
will remember, But God will not remember
them, because He cannot!
SOME PLACES JESUS CANNOT GO.
Again, let’s consider some of His attributes…
Mt 28:20 says; “Lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world” It does not matter where you go, Jesus is with you. In John 20:19 the doors were shut and Jesus entered the room through closed doors, right into their presence.. The Psalmist said in Psa. 139:7-8,, “Whither shall I flee from thy Spirit, or whither shall I flee from Thy Presence?’ He is everywhere…and yet…there are some places He cannot go! He is sovereign, but in His sovereignty, He has limited Himself…
He cannot go into the heart of the unrepentant sinner. He has been pleading entrance all of your life. He has knocked at your heart’s door many times. But He cannot go into your heart unbidden by you. You must unlock that door and invite Him in. He will not knock down the barriers in your life.
In Revelation 3:20 He said to the church in Laodecia, “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if any man hear my voice and open the door I will come in and sup with him and he with me. He wanted to fellowship with the Church but they were too busy with other things. Oh, they may have been talking about Him and maybe even singing hymns about Him, but He was the excluded Christ. He could not go there. He does not go where He is unbidden. I wonder; how many corners of our lives, how many places do we have, as Christians where Jesus is not welcome? He cannot go where He is unbidden.
AND NOW, BEFORE I CLOSE THIS MY DEAR FRIEND,, HE KNOWS ALL ABOUT YOU! HE KNOWS YOUR CASE! IF YOU ARE A BORN AGAIN CHILD OF GOD, HE HAS NOT FORSAKEN YOU, NOR WILL HE. IF YOU HAVE NEVER RECEIVED HIM, WHY NOT DO THAT JUST NOW? YOU MAY ASK, “HOW DO I RECEIVE HIM? THE BIBLE SAYS, ASK, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE.” Allow Him to go where He has never been,(in your heart) and take you to a place you have never seen, (Heaven) a place where the world cannot go because they will not receive Him. May God Bless you!
AND THE WORLD IS A WILDERNESS…it is no friend to the Christian. But Christ is both Saviour and Friend. What earthly friend is there who could forget our past.?

THINK ABOUT IT…He does not know
A Heart He cannot help,
A Hurt He cannot heal,
A Hate He cannot handle.
AND
There is not a prayer He cannot answer,
There is not a problem he cannot solve,
There is not a person He cannot save.
AND THINK ABOUT IT… There are some things about you that you do not know…
(A) The heart of deceit. “The heart is deceitful
above all and desperately wicked. Who can
know it?’ (Jer. 17:9).
(B) The hour of your death. “Boast not thyself
of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a
day may bring forth.” (Prov 27:!).
Something about you that you MUST know…”These things are written that ye MAY KNOW that you have eternal life.”
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
THINK ABOUT THIS…
If suddenly my Bible were taken from me, and I would never see a Bible again, and if I could never attend Church again, and if I were separated from anything of a Spiritual nature, I would still know beyond doubt that I am saved because I have trusted Christ alone!!

“Forever O Lord, Thy Word is settled in Heaven.” Too bad we can’t settle on it down here.

THINGS GOD DOES NOT KNOW
By Pastor George Mills
God does not know of a single sin,
That once was in my past,
But that He cleansed, when He came in,
And in the depths of the sea He did cast.
God does not know of a single prayer,
That He cannot answer at last,
He knows all about our deepest care,
And answers the prayers that we ask.
God does not know of a hurting life,
That He cannot comfort and ease,
He is able to give relief from strife,
And to make the hurting cease.
God does not know of a sinner so low,
Who is beyond the reach of His Love,
He is able to the depths of depravity go,
And prepare one for Heaven above.
God does not know of a saint with care,
Who is forsaken and all alone,
But that He knows and hears each prayer,
And will receive when life’s work is done.
God does not know of a single Word,
In the Bible that He can change,
“Forever ’tis settled” the sweetest I’ve heard,
His Word, a life will re-arrange.

The following poem, entitled “BAR” was written by an inmate in Joliet prison, Joliet Ill.
The name of every saloon is “BAR.”
It is the fittest name by far,
A BAR to Heaven, a door to hell,
Whoever named it, named it well.
A BAR to manliness, a BAR to wealth,
A door to sorrow and broken health.
A BAR to honor pride and fame,
A door to sorrow, grief and shame.
A BAR to hope, a BAR to prayer,
A door to darkness and despair.
A BAR to a useful manly life,
A door to brawling and senseless strife
A BAR to Heaven, a door to hell,
Whoever named it, named it well.

THINGS GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW
By Pastor George Mills
God wants you to know that you are a sinner!
“For ALL have sinned and come short of the
Glory of God.” (Ro. 3:23)
God wants you to know that there is an awful price to pay for your sin…
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life.” (Ro. 6:23).
God wants you to know that the price for your sin has been paid in full…
“For when we were yet without strength, in due
time Christ died for the ungodly. (Ro. 5:6).
God wants you to know that He has provided Salvation for everyone, free, without works or
something we must do.
“For whosoever shall call upon the Name of
the Lord shall be saved.” (Ro. 10:13).
God wants you to know that Today, NOW, you can have Eternal Life as a free gift by receiving Jesus Christ as your own Personal Saviour….
“But as many as received Him, to them gave
He power to become the sons of God, even to
them that believe on His Name.” (Jn. 1:12).

THINGS GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW
Pastor George Mills
God wants you to know that your sins are forgiven.
God wants you to know that you’ll be with Him in Heaven.
God wants you to know that from His Blessed old Book,
To Calvary you’ve been by a simple look.
God wants you to know that in Heaven, so fair,
In the Lamb’s Book of Life,
Your name’s written there!

GET STARTED RIGHT!
Pastor Mills
Seven simple steps to successful Christian living.
This is especially written for new converts. Now that you are on the road to eternity with Christ as your Saviour. ENJOY YOUR TRIP!
STEP #1. The step of fellowship. Ask God to lead you to a fine, Bible believing Fundamental Baptist Church. There are many churches by many names today. Seek God’s leading. Find that church and unite with it. Become a part of it. Attend every service. As a new convert, you will need the fellowship of other believers, and they need you. The preaching of the Word of God, the lessons, the fellowship, all will help you grow in your faith. Someone asked Evangelist Billy Sunday, “Does it really matter if I go to church?” Billy replied, “You can go to Europe without taking a boat. The swimming is good, but the sharks are waiting for those that take that route.” Yes, you can be a christian without going to church, but not a good christian. It is very important that you become a vital part of a good local church. (Heb 10:25).
STEP #2. The step of Baptism. Remember this; Baptism does not save us, nor does it add to salvation. You will never be any more saved than you were the moment you trusted Christ. Baptism will cause you to be an obedient christian. Baptism is your public identification with Christ . He died for you publicly, now, take your public stand for Him. I believe that the remainder of your Spiritual growth is determined by your obedience to Baptism. It is very important for you to be Baptized…NOT for salvation, but to be an obedient Child of God. Mt. 28:19-20, Acts 2:41, Acts 8:12-13, Acts 8:30-39, Acts 10:47-48.
STEP #3. The step of prayer. Learn to pray. God is waiting to hear YOUR prayer. Remember, you do not have to dial some TV channel, or some religious headquarters for prayer. You now have access to God anytime. Jesus Christ bought that access for you by His finished work on the cross. You are a child of God. Now, talk to Him. Learn to pray. Begin your day with prayer. As you drive, as you shop, as you work, as you go through the activities of the day, PRAY! Prayer is our communication with God. Pray in the Name of Jesus. Remember, you do not have to stop everything and get down on your knees . If you did that you would get nothing done. Pray at your bedside, pray in the night when sleep will not come. God hears the silent prayer that comes from your heart.. Hannah prayed silently, Only her lips moved, but God heard her prayer (1Sam. 1).
STEP #4. The step of Bible study. The Bible (KJB) is the greatest book in all the world. Learn to love it. The Bible is filled with the wisdom of God. Now, don’t go and get any bible. The shelves are stacked with various “versions.” Dozens of versions. These do not agree with each other. Get an Old King James Bible, you know, the Bible your grandparents used. Many thousands of words are missing in these new “translations.” This is very important!! In prayer, we communicate our needs to God. In the Bible, God communicates His plan for us. In reading the scriptures you will learn about your enemy, the devil. You will learn about yourself and about human nature, and about God’s plan for the ages. Now, don’t develop a “hit-run” method. That’s OK, but it is hard to learn like that. Develop a systematic Bible study. Begin reading in the Gospel of John. Read a few verses, then re-read until you have an understanding of those verses, and work your way through the Bible. Your assurance will come as you read the scriptures.
STEP #5. The step of reproduction. We are saved to tell others about our Saviour. Remember, someone told you about Christ, now, do the same. Become a witness for Christ. Use good Bible tracts and there is much good literature for you to use. Jesus said, after casting our demons, “Return to thine own house and show what great things God has done unto thee.” (Lk 8:26-39). That’s where we should start…right where we are.
STEP #6 The step of giving. Learn to give. Invest in God’s work. This is the greatest work in all the
world. You will never be able to out-give God. “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come..” (1Cor 16:2, & 2Cor. 9:6-8). Learn to invest your Time, Talent, Tithe in the Lord’s work.
STEP #7. The step of separation. As a child of God, you are now a citizen of Heaven, now, live like it. Learn to practice personal Holiness. Be careful of the friends you choose, make sure they are born again. Be careful with your entertainment habits, speech, dress. Remember, we, as believers still have the ability to sin, but not the appetite for sin. We must learn to separate from the world, but unto God.
Now, it is very difficult to put all of these things in order as far as importance is concerned. They ALL are very important in our growth in the Lord. Get started right, stay right, and you will finish right! May our Dear Saviour Bless you

PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD.
This is one of the most urgent warnings in all the Bible concerning Israel and her backslidden condition…Judgment is threatening, in fact , if you read the text, judgment has already come. Drought, mildew, pestilence, plague. Judgment has already begun. Today, let me borrow from this text and bring it up to our time…
WHY PREPARE? We have plenty of time.
A. We prepare because it is commanded by God. That’s reason enough.
B. Without Christ you are not prepared to meet God.
C. You will meet God!
HOW TO PREPARE?
A. Realize your condition…UNPREPARED.
B. You receive, by faith alone Jesus Christ as
your Personal Saviour.
WHEN TO PREPARE? TODAY, if you will hear
His voice, harden not your heart.” (Heb 3:7-
8. “Boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”

FROM MY HEART
By Mildred Mills
DON’T WORRY—BE HAPPY
In other words, “Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I say rejoice.” (Phil. 4:4). My nature is to fix whatever the problem might be and when I cannot fix the problem my worries and anxieties begin. After all my efforts fail and I’m totally worn out from my trying to “fix-it” I then turn to the Scriptures and there I find peace in the Word. Philippians chapter 4 has been such a comfort to me when I cannot fix things. “The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with THANKSGIVING let your requests be made known unto God, and the peace of God which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” The Lord has taken away my worries and anxieties many times through His Word and I am so very Thankful that He is faithful and continues to be with us in every situation. He tells us to “think on whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just and whatsoever things are pure, lovely and of a good report. He tells us to think on these things and the sweet peace of God will fill our hearts and there will be no room for worry. He wants us to simply trust Him and He will do the fixing. Remember, when we cannot fix things, we know who can, our Saviour, the One that loved us enough to die for us. Rejoice in the Lord, give THANKS, pray, making your requests known to God, but don’t Worry! He has us in His heart, He has us on His mind and He is praying to our Heavenly Father for us. He has everything under control. “This is the day which the LORD hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psa 118:24). Be HAPPY in the love of Jesus!
Trust and obey, for there is no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to
Trust and obey.

TEEN TALKS THAT MATTER
By Ashley Stevens
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
This month we will be celebrating Thanksgiving. In today’s society we often times get caught up in what we don’t have, rather than being thankful for what we do have. Social media has prompted society to constantly be concerned with what they wear, where they go, or what they are doing, which in turn leads to jealousy, depression and a host of other issues among teenagers. Thankfulness is a language of love that we as Christians don’t often practice.. In Ephesians 5:20 the Bible tells us, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” Having a thankful mind is a choice we make. It does not mean we deny reality, but it opens us up to the all powerful Love of our Heavenly Father. Thanksgiving and praise to God puts our hearts and minds in proper relationship and allows us to depend on Him in all areas of our lives. The more we are thankful and praise God, the more at peace we become. “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1Cor. 15:57). The next time society wants to fill your mind with lies from Satan, focusing on things you don’t have, try praying and asking God for a thankful spirit. I want you to put Him to the test by taking a “30 day challenge” of thankfulness. Every day for 30 days write down something you are thankful for. You will be surprised to see just how much you have to be thankful for. We as Christians have been given the ultimate gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ. God gave His only Son to die on a cross for us so that one day we could spend eternity in Heaven. Talk about something to start your thankfulness list off with!! I thank God for each of you who take your time to read my article each month and I pray that you receive a blessing from it. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Until next time, Ashley Stevens

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!!
Pastor George Mills
On Thursday, November 27 we will celebrate Thanksgiving Day! We have a time of fellowship with family and friends, enjoy a great meal together, and have a time to think about our blessings and to THANK GOD for His Blessings. It is a joyous day. I trust that you and your family will have a great time. The Psalms are filled with praises and Thanksgivings to God for His Blessings; “O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good, for His Mercy endureth forever.” (Psa. 136:1-3).I am glad that this nation has set aside a day of Thanksgiving. As I read the Scriptures on last Lord’s day and saw the downward trend of mankind, I couldn’t help but notice the indictment, “Neither were they thankful” (Ro 1:21). I believe that the degree of gratitude determines our degree of service.. The woman with the alabaster box of ointment in Lk. 7:37-48 was grateful to our Lord for forgiveness of sin. Jesus said to the crowd of pharisees, “I say unto thee, her sins which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much, but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” May I share with you today some things for which I am grateful. These all begin with the letter”S” just to help us keep organized.
SALVATION. I am thankful for the plan of Salvation, a plan which included me. Romans 3 tells us that we are sinners, without God and without hope. But Christ came and died for our sins and paid our sin debt.. We had nothing to offer and no way to pay. I am Thankful for the Gift of Eternal Life that we have in Christ Jesus. I am thankful for the day in my memory when I asked Him into my heart and life, AND HE CAME IN! Thank God!
SOUL WINNER. I am thankful for the soul winner(s) who led me to Christ. There were several who were concerned about me and prayed for me.
MY WIFE. She prayed for me and she spoke to me about my need of the Saviour.
A PRAYING CHURCH. The small community Church prayed for me.
A FAITHFUL PASTOR. Pastor Irvin Hyman preached the message on the day I was saved.
FAMILY MEMBERS. I believe that many members of my family had prayed for me for years. My thanks to one and all.
SPIRIT. I am thankful that the Holy Spirit sought me. He stayed on my trail all of my life with His convicting power. He, the Holy Spirit, births every believer into the family of God. He seals the believer. He teaches the Scriptures. Without the Holy Spirit in our lives we could not understand the scriptures. Oh, there is so much more that He does for us. He is that friend “closer than a brother.”
SCRIPTURES. The Holy Bible (KJB) is a wonderful Book. God preserved His Word as He promised and gave it to us. WHAT A GIFT! Many people around the world have never seen a Bible. Here in America, Bibles are everywhere. We take it for granted. We neglect it, We break It’s commandments. We do not heed it’s warnings. No other book can compare with the Bible. It tells us where we came from and where we are going. Please take a few moments and read Psalm 119:97-104. The Psalmist expresses his love for the Word. His testimony is that the Word has made him wiser than his enemies. In reading the scriptures you will find out about life, yourself, you will see the plans of men, Satan, and God. God is the winner!
SUPPLICATION. This is a long word for prayer. What a privilege we have as Christians to go to God in prayer anytime and He hears us.. We do not have to dial some number down here. Jesus Christ bought our access to God by His work on the cross. Thank God for the privilege of prayer.
SERVANTS. Servants like Paul, John, Peter. Servants of God who have helped me down through the years. Faithful Deacons I have worked with, teachers, bus workers. Thank God for the faithful ones who have stood in their pulpit and faithfully proclaimed, “Thus saith the Lord. Oh, I have so much to be thankful for.
SECOND COMING. Thank God for the promise of His return of Christ for His own. I mean the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church. What is the hope down here on this earth? Nothing but worse and worse. Things will not get better here, but we have a better place.
Now, how can I show my gratitude? How can I express my feelings?
TELL GOD. Begin every day in prayer of Thanksgiving. Express your gratitude for the things we have discussed, and for things we have not discussed,
SHOW GOD. By the way that you live. Let the world know that you are a Christian.
PROVE GOD. Prove Him by the winning of others. Prove Him in helping Him reach fallen man with the Good News of the Gospel.
I wish to express my thanksgiving to the ones who faithfully help me to send the Gospel to the nations…
Oh God, we are Grateful, we Are thankful!
“I will praise the Name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with THANKSGIVING. (Psa. 69:30)
