“This Jesus hath God raised up whereof we all are witnesses.” (Acts 2:32).

By Pastor George Mills

I am working on this in April, just a few days before we celebrate the Glorious Resurrection Day. You should be receiving this in the month of May. But in whatever month you may receive it, it is always up to date, “HE IS RISEN!” We celebrate His Resurrection every day! Today, we could bring forth many things that mark the difference between Christianity and the other religions of this world. We could mention the similarities… Most all religions have a book that resembles our Bible, (KJB). Most meet in a building that resembles our own Church Building. Most will say or hear some kind of a prayer. Most will hear some kind of message, or teaching. Yes, from outward appearances we appear to be very similar. But not one other group, other than Real Christianity will mention the resurrection of their founder. No, not one! A Pastor gave assignment to his people to search the Scriptures and find the one verse that they believe is the most important verse in the Bible. They were to meet on a certain day. On that given day they all met and were ready. The first stood and read Psalm 119:89, “Forever O LORD Thy Word is settled in Heaven.” He said, “I believe that this is the most important verse because everything we have is based on the infallibility of the Word of God.” The next one stood and read John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” “This is the most important verse because it offers eternal life to everyone.” And another stood and read John 14:3, “I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am, there ye may be also.” “This is His great promise that He will return for His own.” And another read, “A virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” (Isa. 7:14). This verse speaks of the Purity of the Saviour.” On and on they read until one read, “He is not here, for He is risen as He said, come, see the place where the Lord lay.” (Mat. 28:6). “This is the most important verse in the Bible because if this verse is not true then everything else written is useless and vain. “If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain, ye are yet in your sins. Everything else we have read is useless, vain, and void. Therefore, this is the most important verse.” A Hearty “AMEN” was given. The resurrection of Christ is the thing that separates Christianity from all other religions. This is not something we have to debate or vote on. The Resurrection of Christ is our hope. “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain, ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.” (1Cor 15:17-20). The major theme through the New Testament from Acts to Revelation is the Resurrection. Peter’s sermon on the day of Pentecost set the tone; “Whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be holden of it (Acts 2:24) And from that point, the preaching of the resurrection turned the world upside down. At this season, all around the world the Resurrection will continue to be preached. And yet, for the Born again Christian, every day is resurrection day. This is a daily thing! I know He’s alive, I just talked to Him.” Now, let us see some wonderful truth about the GLORIOUS RESURRECTION OF CHRIST. These are truths that we hear all of the time. And while they are familiar, they never get old…

1. THE FIDELITY OF THE RESURRECTION. “Fidelity” meaning “accurate in every detail” or “exactness” By this I mean the exactness of the things that led up to the resurrection…. First of all…Think of the Birth of Christ. Exact in every detail…

HE WAS BORN AT THE RIGHT TIME. “But when the fullness of time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the Law. To redeem them that were under the Law that we might receive the adoption of sons.” (Gal 4:4-5). In the fullness of time. When world governments were right. When the languages were right, when the heavens were right. When all was right, at the RIGHT TIME, Christ was born.

HE WAS BORN INTO THE RIGHT FAMILY. The Scriptures said that Christ would be born into the family lineage of King David, that He would reign as King. Sometimes we get bored when we read the lineages listed in the Scriptures. Let me say that all of the “begats” listed in the Bible give us the EXACTNESS of the coming of Christ to this earth. Read the lineage of Christ in Matthew, Ch. 1…God begins with Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Judas (Judah). He lists the descendants through Judah all the way down to Mary at the Birth of Christ, (Mt 1:1-19). Then, turn to Luke, Ch. 3:23-38. Luke begins with the life of Christ and goes backward to the beginning. He starts with Joseph and goes back through the line of David, to Juda (Judah) back to Abraham. Forward and backward God, exact in every detail, gives us the Birth of Christ. I am talking about the FIDELITY, (exactness) of God.

HE WAS BORN IN THE RIGHT PLACE. “But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto me that is to be the ruler in Israel, whose goings forth have been of old from everlasting.” (Micah 5:2). (Note that the new ‘versions’ substitute everlasting to ‘ancient times’). There is a vast difference between “everlasting” and “ancient times.” That gap is too far to try to bridge. Christ was born in Bethlehem, in fulfillment to Biblical prophecy.

HE WAS BORN IN THE RIGHT MANNER. “Behold, a VIRGIN shall conceive and bear a son and thou shalt call His Name Immanuel.” (Isa. 7:14). The Virgin Birth of Christ is recorded in Matthew, chs. 1-2, and Luke, Ch. 2. Exact in every detail. If the Scriptures (KJB) are right about His Birth, then we can trust the Scriptures to be right about His Life, death, and His RESURRECTION. Just a couple of weeks ago at this Resurrection celebration time of the year, I brought a message about the CROSS of Christ in Galatians. This Christ was born, according to the Scriptures. He was rejected and crucified on a Cross, also in fulfillment of Scripture, (Psa 22). But death could not stop Him, and the grave could not hold Him. “In the FULLNESS OF TIME, God sent forth His Son..” (Gal. 4:4). He arose from the dead on the third day. Now, let’s see some things about His Glorious Resurrection. These things are very familiar to us…

2. THE FACTUALITY OF THE RESURRECTION. The Scriptures say that after his Resurrection, “He showed Himself alive after His passion by many INFALLIBLE PROOFS.” (Acts 1:3). Let’s see some of the facts concerning His Resurrection. I am referring to the Gospel of John, Ch. 20…

THE STONE WAS MOVED FROM THE DOOR. (Jn 20:1) Who moved that stone? The soldiers? The disciples? His enemies?, The woman? Of course not. (See Mt. 28:2).

THE GRAVE CLOTHES (John 20:5-6). When the body of Jesus was prepared for burial, grave clothes were wound about His body. The disciples saw the grave cloths, in place, like an empty shell, or a cocoon, and the napkin about His head was neatly folded. As I have stated, death could not stop Him and the Grave Clothes could not hold Him.

THE MISSING BODY OF JESUS. When the disciples looked into the tomb, the Body of Jesus was not there. What happened to that body? Who moved it? The cults that deny the Resurrection say that “gasses” consumed His Body. That’s the reason his Body is missing.” Of course there is no truth in that statement. Gasses do not consume the body. In normal conditions, the body decays over several weeks, or months, but not over night. The Disciples did not take His Body from the tomb. They would not have preached about His Resurrection around the world, and suffered and died because of their message about a Resurrection, if they had removed his body. The Soldiers did not remove His Body from the tomb. They had been commanded to keep the tomb secure. His missing Body may have cost them greatly, possibly even their lives. No, the soldiers did not take His Body. His Enemies did not remove His body from the tomb. In order for them to stop the story of the resurrection, all that they need do was to present His Body, if they had it, but they did not have it! The testimony of the Angels. “He is not here, for He is rises, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay.” ,(Mt. 28:6). Jesus walked away from the tomb. The same body that was placed in the tomb walked away from the tomb, now Glorified. The fact that His Church is alive and well and new believers are being added every day all are infallible testimonies of the FACTUALITY OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST! You can visit the tomb of Mohammed, or Buddha, or Confucius, or the tomb of any of the founders of world religions and say, “At this tomb lies the body of so and so.” But we, as Christians can say there is no place here where His body lies. Death could not stop Him and the grave could not hold Him.

3. THE FINALITY OF THE RESURRECTION. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the finality, the culmination of everything the Scriptures foretold about Christ, about man, about nations, and about Satan.

THE PLIGHT OF SATAN WAS FINALIZED. “Plight” meaning, danger, or an awful condition. I know that the Cross of Calvary was the designed plan of God. “It pleased the LORD to bruise Him.” (Isa. 53:10). But Satan had his part in the crucifixion as well as did the soldiers, the crowd, the government, religion, and you and I. Our sin helped nail Him to the Cross. All had a part in His death on the Cross. Satan did his best to keep Christ from being born. God moved nations and governments around to preserve His plan for the Birth of Christ. Satan did his best to prevent that great event from happening. But he failed. At the Saviour’s Birth, Satan did his best again to kill Him.(Mt. 2:14-15). All though the earthly Ministry of Christ, Satan tried to kill Him. And finally, at the cross, Satan had his glorious moments. “At last, Christ is dead.” Little did Satan realize that death could not stop Him and the Grave could not hold Him! Our Lord came walking forth from that tomb, sealing, FINALIZING the doom of Satan. We read about Satan’s plight in Rev. 20:10, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false are and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

THE PROGRAM OF SCRIPTURE WAS FINALIZED. All that the Bible (KJB) has to say about Satan, His kingdom, God haters, Christ rejectors, will stand Before the King of kings and Lord of lords. “Because he hath appointed a day in the which He will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom He hath ordained, whereof He hath given assurance unto ALL MEN that He hath RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, (Acts 17:31). For those who have rejected Christ, everything about this present evil world, the sin of the past, present and future. Every wrong, every evil deed will be brought to account by Almighty God because of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

THE PLAN OF SALVATION WAS FINALIZED. Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin in fulfillment of prophecy. But there is no salvation in His Birth. Jesus Christ lived a sinless life. He did not offend the Law of God in any point. He faced every temptation and did not yield to any temptation. Yes, He lived a sinless life. But there is no Salvation in His sinless life . Jesus Christ was nailed to a Roman Cross. He was given a mockery trial. The ONLY thing that could have killed Him was SIN. He died, not bearing His sin, for He had none. He died bearing the sin of the world. But there is no Salvation in the Cross alone. Now, on the third day after He was taken down from the Cross, and was buried, and sealed in the tomb, there came to light the reality, that death could not stop Him, and the grave could not hold Him. He arose bodily from the grave. Nothing could have kept Him there. He came forth from the tomb with the victor’s shout; “I am He that liveth, and was dead, and behold I am alive for evermore.” (Rev. 1:18). The Resurrection FINALIZED God’s plan of Salvation. Lost mankind all over the world can be saved, but we must be saved God’s way. Believe that you are a sinner. “For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Understand that there is a price to pay for Sin. “For the wages of sin is death.” Physical, and eternal. Know that Christ paid all of sin’s debt by His Life, Death on the Cross, and Resurrection. “For when we were yet without strength, IN DUE TIME Christ died for the ungodly.”(Ro. 5:6) “But God commendeth His Love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Ro 5:8). Receive Christ as your own Personal Saviour. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath RASIED HIM FROM THE DEAD thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Now, many may say, “I can believe about the birth, life, and death of Jesus Christ, but the bodily resurrection? I have a great problem believing that.” Yes, you do have a GREAT PROBLEM! There is no other way. There is no other plan of salvation that works. There is God’s way, and there is your way, and your way is the wrong way. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” God’s plan of Salvation is FINALIZED IN JESUS CHRIST! He is the Loving, kind Saviour that the Bible says He is. He has been to me all that I needed. Perhaps this is your day. Your day to receive the Lord Jesus Christ. He is there, wherever you are. He is there in the Person of the Holy Spirit as He speaks to your heart. Tell Him that you receive Him. “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” (Jn. 1:12) BEGIN TODAY TO LIVE FOREVER! <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

By Pastor George Mills

“I am He that liveth, and was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore.” (Rev 1:18)

“Is He alive?” I asked myself,

As I stood beside His tomb.

The Angel said, “He is not here,

   Come see the empty room.”

Then I asked the keeper there,

Who was standing by the grave,

“Is He alive, does He yet live?”

   He said, “Behold the cave.”

Is He alive?” I asked the ones,

   Who dined beside the sea.

“Oh yes, we saw, we ate with Him,”

   Their voices filled with glee.

“Is He alive?” the demons asked,

   In fear of judgment’s dread.

They heard the cry, “He is alive,

He is risen from the dead.”

“Is He alive?” I asked myself,

When I opened up my heart.

He is alive, He came right in,

   Much Grace He did impart.

To everyone who doubts He lives,

Just take Him at His Word,

And He will prove, He is alive,

   He is the Risen Lord.

Should Christians fight? Many seem to be troubled with this question.. Christians are for peace! Nobody wants war! This is especially true with Christians. In every war, good people and bad people get hurt and some die. We are not for war! Peace is costly. Peace is not free. People have fought and died for peace. They gave their lives that we might be free. Yes, peace is very costly. Peace must be maintained. The peace we have must be carefully maintained. It must be guarded. Our military guards this great nation. Great aircraft carriers patrol our coasts. Modern aircraft fly in systematic patrols. Underwater submarines patrol. Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen train every day. These are not looking for war, they are maintaining peace. Christians have a part in maintaining peace. Christians have fought honorably, and many Christians have given their lives in fighting for the peace of this nation. I thank God for every professing Christian in our Military. When helpless people are oppressed by some tyrant, we have an obligation to help, to fight, to free those who are oppressed . It would be wrong to stand by while thousands are murdered. I hear of Christians around the world who have been brutally murdered by godless gangs. Should Christians fight? You bet we should! We should fight and then maintain peace after the battle is won. President Lincoln said, “all the nations of the world could not by force take a drink from the Ohio river. If we fall, we will fall from the inside.” Our nation seems to be falling apart from the inside. Let us remember, “the wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God.”(Psa. 9:17). We need leadership who will stand, who will maintain peace, who will not yield to the enemy. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

A Good Mother sees her children through Eyes Of Love. My Mama was sweet, kind and long suffering, all wrapped up in a precious bundle of love. She loved her children, all ten of us and was always there for us, no matter what. Her desire for each of us was to have a good life.. She wanted us to make the right choices and walk in truth, but when we erred along the way, she loved us anyway and never gave up on any of us. What a loving Mother we had and she always saw us through the Eyes Of Love. “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.” (3John 4). She prayed for us and God has been so very good to us all.. I am reminded of our Heavenly Father that loves us with an everlasting love and is so ready to forgive and forget the many times we have erred in our Christian walk with Him. We have taken the wrong path at times and made bad choices but He will never stop loving us because He sees His children through Eyes Of Love. I thank God for my loving Mother and I am so thankful that she only saw us through her Eyes Of Love.

Mother O’ Mine By Rudyard Kipling

If I were hanged on the Highest hill,

Just whose love would follow me still?

Mother O’ mine, Mother O’ mine.

If I were drowned in the deepest sea,

Just whose love would still reach me?

Mother O’ mine, Mother O’ mine.

“My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy Mother; for they shall be an ornament of Grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.” (Prov. 1:8-9).

“My Mother had Magic Eyes, although I did not realize this as a child. In fact, I was quite grown up when I found it out. As a child I painted her a scenic picture with a tall birch tree in the foreground. She said that it was “beautiful.” Years later, I noticed that the tree was thick where it should have been thin, knobby where it should have been straight. Another time I embroidered her a pincushion which had on it the word MOTHER. The stitches were far-spaced and not too even. The eyelet holes were rather large. I know now why she could say my handiwork was “beautiful.” She saw not with her natural eyes, but with Magic Eyes of Love. She saw not the crooked tree with it’s odd shaped branches, but the child at work painstakingly painting her love. She saw not the crooked stitches, the uneven pattern, but rather the needle-pricked finger and the cramped little hand. Her Magic Eyes looked past the material offering and saw deep into a small heart presenting it’s gift of love. What wonderful eyes a good Mother has! To a sincere Christian, how like a Mother’s love is the affection of his Heavenly Father. Looking beyond thoughtless mistakes, careless blunders and imperfect acts of devotion, the Lord sees a humble heart, eager to love and serve Him.”

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!! “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy Grandmother Lois, and in thy Mother Eunice, and I am persuaded in thee also.” (2Tim 1:5). <><><><><><><><><><><><><><> “Honor thy Father and thy Mother that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.” (Ex. 20:12).

WANDERING THROUGH THE WILDERNESS… “How do I know for sure that I am saved?” For some, this is indeed a very hard thing to get settled. I suppose our background, where we came from, our exposure to the Gospel, or our exposure to a horrible lifestyle, and so many things cause some to have this problem. “How can I know for sure? “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith, prove your own selves how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates.” (2Cor. 13:5). Paul was preparing a third trip to Corinth. The Church there was filled with confusion and various kinds of doctrines, and open sin. Paul reminds the believers that everything will be dealt with. One thing Paul did have in mind was, “Are some of these peple really saved?” He reminds them in our text above, BE SURE YOU ARE SAVED You cannot be sure by trusting your feelings. Your feelings change. Salvation never changes. Anyone who lives by feelings is, up, then down, off, then on, in, then out, etc. You cannot know by what others say or think about you. I cannot look at someone and say he, or she is really saved, or not really saved. Some look good on the surface, but we cannot really know their experience with God. You know that you are saved by what the Bible (KJB) says about you. “And this is the record, (what is recorded in the Bible) that God hath given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I writen unto you that believe on the Name of the Son of God that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life..” (1Jn. 5:11-13). Have you believed that Jesus died and paid for your sin? Have you asked Him to save you? (John 1:12). If this is true the Bible says you are saved. Trust what the Bible says, and not what others say, or what you may think.

Some are troubled about the homosexual lifestyle. Right? Or wrong? Several years ago Episcopal priest Gene Robinson was elected as Bishop of New Hampshire. At the announcement of his election his male “gay” lover was present. To say the least, this is disgusting. Homosexuality is an abomination, strongly condemned in both Old and New Testaments, (Lev. 20:1-27, 1Cor. 6:9-11). Now, let us not misuse a good word. “GAY” is a wonderful word. There are some wonderful people with the name of GAY. One of my best friends of many years ago was Ralph Gay. Many have that name, so let us not misuse that name. Let us call it what the Bible calls it; “SODOMY.” Again “SODOMY” is strongly condemned. Read Romans, Ch. 1. Now, we are not against the Homosexual, we are against the sin of homosexuality. Christ can deliver the homosexual from this great sin as He can deliver the drunk from alcohol, or the harlot from whoredom. God is still in the soul saving, life transforming business. When He saves a soul, He saves a life. The Bible says that God turned those who practiced this sin over to a reprobate mind, (Romans Ch. 1). That is, a mind that is incapable to see or comprehend the awfulness of this sin. I believe that I can, on the basis of Scripture, call Mr. Gene Robinson a reprobate. For the sake of morality, I trust the Episcopalians along with other “religious” groups will see the error of accepting this vile sin as an acceptable alternate lifestyle. It is not normal, nor acceptable. To those who practice this lifestyle, you know that this is not right, or normal. God can deliver you. He can change you, and make you over again. Many have found victory through faith in Christ. I urge you to receive Him today. Again, we are not angry with anyone, we are angry with this lifestyle that has trapped so many. This lifestyle is the seed-bed of so many venereal diseases. These have destroyed societies in the past.

“Call unto me and I will answer thee and shew thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.” (Jer. 33:3).
