Teen Talks That Matter
“Fear not; for, behold I bring you good tidings of great joy”

Can you believe it is Christmas time? This time of year happens to be my all time favorite. The atmosphere is uplifting and joyful, and everyone seems to always have a smile on their face. We can walk through malls and hear Christmas music, look over and smell the scent of a Christmas tree, and my favorite, the bright lights that are hung everywhere. Even though it so easy to get wrapped up in all of the festivities of Christmas, never forget the real reason we celebrate Christmas, the reason why you have the biggest and brightest light shining in your heart.

This holiday season, I challenge you to share Jesus in everyway you can. Start by just simply being excited! We as Christians should be the most excited about Christmas. We are celebrating the birth of our Savior! God sent His only Son to rescue His people from sin. This was the greatest gift that we will ever receive. The gift of eternal life!

Another way to share Christ this Christmas is to have your mind more focus on him and less of the gifts. Reflect on what Jesus has done for you and your life. Take time from all of the Christmas festivities you will be attending and read the Christmas story. This way, not only will you be sharing Christ, but also you will be letting others see the light of Christ inside of you. This could lead into inviting others to church and letting them hear more about the good news of Christ.

In whatever way you decide to share Christ this Christmas, just know that you are helping in furthering the kingdom of Christ. Be bold! You can just simply just hand a track to the cashier at the store, or volunteer at a local shelter. Little things can lead into big victories!
